So I recently got a high powered blender in the form of the Blendtec Classic 570 (thank you BestBuy refurbished section) and have not stopped using it. I pretty much use it every day, between smoothies, blended coffees, making vegan cheese, and so much more, that I thought why not make the next recipe a blender recipe.
Now I know most of you don’t have a high-powered blender, but don’t worry, this still works in a regular blender, or a ninja, or even a food processor. You may have to split the amount up or even just do half of this mix, and you’ll be fine. If I say I’m using the ice cream mode, I just mean on medium to high power for 2-4 mins. And like usual, you don’t necessarily have to use these fruits. Below I’ve listed some combinations that would be good.
Banana “N”ice Cream:
1 previously frozen, but not thawed fully Banana
1.5 c frozen Pineapple
1.5 – 2 c frozen Cantaloupe
2 – 3 c Fruit juice (of choice – just make sure it’s not full of sugars)
1/4 c Pineapple juice (I just used the juice from the frozen pineapples)
1/8 c Liquid Sweetener (this is optional, and I used an Orange flavoured Italian soda syrup for this)
Add everything but the liquid sweetener to the blender jug and blend on “ice cream” for the whole duration. When finished, taste the mix, add sweetener or syrup if preferred and blend some more. Pour into freezable or dedicated ice cream containers (I ended up needing 2 containers for this amount) and freeze for at least 3 hours, over-night preferred.
– Strawberry Banana
– Strawberry Kiwi
– Pina Colada (Just Pineapple + Banana w/ Pineapple Juice)
– Mango, Peach, Strawberry
– Triple Berry (Blackberry, Raspberry, Strawberry)
– Peach Raspberry Lemon (and a Beet for extra vitamins + color)
